Richard Long - Digital Portfolio

When you open up this online portfolio you are greeted with a very simple menu with a couple examples of his work. The simplicity obviously makes it easier to navigate the portfolio and find what your looking for rather easy. The only downfall is that its not very interesting to look at and keep you drawn in. Very bland colors mixed with very bright colors need to be changed I think.

The purpose of this portfolio from what I've gathered is to show how he uses natural objects and the environment as important pieces in his work to show how he interprets things. It gives everyone else an insight into how he goes about walking through landscapes making art with natural resources. His favorite thing definitely seems to be sculpture.
The advantage of having this all online is that you can quickly navigate through everything with ease and read knowledge about them at the same time. But I don't think that is nearly as good as seeing the sculpture in real life. In person you can see it from every angle and inspect it a lot more closely than if you were doing it from a picture. Ultimately giving you a grander experience.
