John Bellany - Digital Portfolio

The portfolio opens up and welcomes the viewer to a great portrait of Bellany himself and a marvelous quote by him. "I paint from my very soul and I want to move people to get inside their hearts" A very nice introduction. The layout of the website itself is neat and controlled, with the necessary headings to the required information and work done by the artist.

As soon as you check out his gallery of work it's clear he was a great painter and that's what he was passionate about. By showing his biography and gallery it allows people to immerse them self in his life and art to try and understand how he approached life itself.This is one of the best reasons as to why people have online digital portfolios because of ease of access to this information.

Like I said there are advantages to having it online and digital like keeping everything organized and easy to access but it doesn't compare to seeing the work in real life. Seeing everything like the brush strokes in the painting to the smallest detail and the actual scale of the painting is a much better experience than viewing it online digitally.
